I bought the 5 cm fatgrips since I replaced my cheap adjustable dumbbells with the Ironmaster 54 kg set. I already had the original (blue) Fatgripz that fitted the old dumbbells perfectly but have too small an inner diameter to fit the thicker handle of the Ironmaster dumbbells meaning using the original Fatgripz with... [Read more] make the handle excessively thick due to an extra gap in the "flexible slit" allowing mounting of the original Fatgripz. Thus it was certainly a good idea to by the original Ironmaster fatgrips which fit perfectly without any rattling. The outer diameter of the 5 cm Ironmaster fatgrips is a bit smaller than the original brue Fatgripz (5.7 cm) but this is not a problem. The two parts of the Ironmaster fatgrips are mounted with 4 nuts and bolts and it took me too long to be practical during a workout the first time I did it. However, the next time it was much faster since only two bolts are strictly needed and the nuts were now fixed in position meaning you only need to focus on tightening two screws. This is acceptable although not at fast as when mounting the original Fatgripz. It should be noted that the "knurled" plastic surface of the Ironmaster fatgrips is quite slippery compared to both the excellent metal knurling of the Ironmaster dumbbells and the surface of the oritinal Fatgripz. I would say it's too slippery when wearing training gloves but ok with bare (dry) hands. [Show less]

Empfinde das Anlegen der Fat-Grips mit Schrauben/Muttern ebenfalls als etwas fummelig. Erfüllen aber ansonsten ihren Zweck.

Die Fat Grips sind eine gute Ergänzung für die Quicklock-Kurzhanteln. Wer jedoch glaubt, dass sich diese, wie angegeben, schnell anlegen lassen, der irrt. Das heißt, man sollte sich vorher überlegen, ob man das Training mit oder ohne die Fat Grips absolviert, da es einige Minuten braucht, um diese auf die Hanteln zu mo... [Read more]ntieren. Abnehmen lassen sie sich natürlich leichter und das geht mit dem Schraubenzieher natürlich schnell. Beim anlegen jedoch muss man ein bisschen herumfitzeln, bis man die Muttern erwischt usw.
